Summer is over and we are back to school! That means the bookmobile will resume it’s rounds and storytimes will resume at each branch on Wednesday starting on the week of September 9, 2019.

Be sure to check out the schedules using the menu at the top of the website. And check back here to hear first hand any changes to bookmobile and storytimes.  Maker Day is still EVERY Friday at 1:00.

Starting in August our STEM program will be changing to Maker Day. “What does that mean?” you might be asking.  Well, just what the title says!  We will be making, building, up-cycling, or programming, whatever we can MAKE!  We have had great success with the STEM program but thought that changing to Maker Day will give us more versatility in activities offered.  We will still be doing some “science-y” and educational activities, as well as crafts and art. Maker Day will replace STEM Lab on Fridays at 1:00.

Due to extreme heat forecasted for next week, there will be NO bookmobile in Arimo (7-22-19) and Inkom (7-23-19).  We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.   Please visit any of our other branches.

Due to road construction and Independence Day, McCammon Branch will be CLOSED July 1-5.

Lava and Downey braches will be OPEN on July 1-3, closing on July 4-5.

Summer Reading is in full swing at South Bannock Library District. We have changed a few things this year.  No summer reading charts or minutes to count, which means nothing to turn in!  Just show up and tell us you are here for Summer Reading/STEM at least 4 times. You can come to storytime, STEM Lab, or just check out a book and grab a packet at a library or bookmobile.   All Storytimes are all at 11:00 this year (no storytime in Lava, just packets). STEM Lab is at 1:00 on Fridays at McCammon Branch.  Downey, Arimo and Inkom summer reading activities will go through the end of June.   McCammon and Lava will continue until July 19th, no storytime July 3rd and all branches will be closed July 4th and 5th. Prizes will be passed out starting July 8th.
